Apprentice Aerospace Engineering (Grades 3-5):
With this set of lessons, your child will learn about Aerospace Engineering by examining and creating all kinds of flying objects. The students will learn about lift and gyroscopic rotation as they create flying saucers. They'll see how size, weight, and materials affect parachutes. They'll experiment with the concepts of potential and kinetic energy as they create jets and whirling copters. And, they'll see the concept of thrust in action as they launch multiple rockets and even learn about neutral buoyancy with helium balloons!
