EFK SUMMER CAMP 2025 // RENOVATION CHURCH
AGES 5-7
MORNING:
Camp Kelvin (Ages 5-7)
Pack your bags and lace up your hiking boots engineers, because we are engineering designs to help us explore the great outdoors. Students will build a tent, design waterproof clothing, engineer your own survival pack and more!
9am-12pm
AFTERNOON:
Lego WeDo Move it! Move it! (Ages 5-7)
This camp is designed to introduce students to the concepts of robotics, automation, programming, and the Engineering Design Process. Robots come in a variety of shapes, and sizes, and are each designed for unique tasks. The nature of this task can range from lifting simple objects to cleaning up large-scale natural disasters. The students will make race cars, helicopters, flood gates, trucks, and more.
1pm- 4pm
AGES 8-12
MORNING:
VEX Battle (Ages 8-12)
Our VEX Battle camp is designed to expose students to STEM fundamentals within the context of building a robot. Without even realizing it, students will begin to instinctively apply these lessons to them as they advance through the program. This hands-on process, especially for younger students, establishes an intuitive and deep-rooted expertise that simply cannot be replicated by traditional teaching methods. Students will work in teams and groups to design and build a VEX robot to battle other camper’s robots and complete challenges.
9am-12pm
AFTERNOON:
Apprentice Mini golf Camp (Ages 8-12)
At this interactive Engineering Camp, students will build their own Mini-Golf Course. They'll be introduced to Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Packaging Engineering, and more- while learning about Simple Machines, Force, Acceleration, Potential, and Kinetic Energy. On each day of Camp, students will be building Putting Greens and Holes such as Spiral Hill, See Saw, Flexi-Bridge, Bumper Bank Shots, and a Final Hole- complete with a Buzzer! By the end of the week, the students will be able to create one large Mini Golf Course and play together in a tournament!
1pm- 4pm
