8/1 - 8/5: Jr. Camp Kelvin (9AM-12PM)/ Jr. Minecraft: Amusement Parks (1PM-4PM) 5-7 yrs old
Junior Camp Kelvin AM:
Pack your bags and lace up your hiking boots engineers, because we are engineering designs to help us explore the great outdoors. Students will build a tent, design a solar oven, engineer your own survival pack and more!
Junior Minecraft: Amusement Park Maker:
This camp will have students build their very own Minecraft amusement parks! Students will have to navigate a number of engineering and teamwork challenges to do so. Students will draft blueprints and plans for their parks on paper before beginning to create it in Minecraft to make it as much like the process of designing a real amusement park as possible.
8/1 - 8/5 : Apprentice Minecraft: Galactic Crafting (9AM-12PM) / Mission to Mars Camp (1PM-4PM) )8-12 yrs old
Apprentice Minecraft: Galactic Crafting:
Designed to introduce students to the concepts of electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, and the Engineering Design Process this Camp is a dynamic look at Minecraft. Students will walk away from this class with a basic understanding of how potential moon bases could be designed and some of the difficulties presented in space travel.
Apprentice Mission to Mars Camp:
During this week of camp, students will learn about NASA's Rovers, Landers and Orbiters that are conducting important research on Mars. Students will build models to understand how to land safely on Mars as well as splash down safely as they return to Earth! Each day, campers will use EFK’s Engineering Design Process to engage in exciting, hands-on STEM challenges with real-world connection to NASA, aerospace & mechanical engineering while they deepen their understanding of the red planet.
Half Day Options: 9-12/1-4PM: $195
Full Day Option: 9-4:00 PM: $275
